FAQ
Fit & Sizing
Belly or Booty: Which fit is right for me?
Booty Fit: Made for folks who carry more in their hips, thighs, and backside. It has extra room where you need it most without being baggy at the waist.
Belly Fit: Made for people who carry more in their midsection and have a smaller or flatter booty. It gives you more space and comfort in the tummy area without sagging in the seat.
What if they don't fit?
Returns and exchanges are easy!
Simply login to the Customer Portal to request a return/exchange or reach out via our Contact Page and we’ll guide you through the process.
Not sure what would work better? Message us anyway! Kara or Arwen will read it and help you figure it out. We'd rather get you into the right pair than send you the wrong one twice.
Do you have more inseam options?
Not yet, but they're coming! Right now we're a small brand with one pant in one inseam, and we know that's not enough.
Plus size bodies come in every height, and you deserve pants that fit your legs as well as the rest of you. Expanding inseam options is a priority as we grow.

Performance & Weather
Are they waterproof or water-resistant?
The Brecken Pant is water-resistant and PFAS-free, not waterproof. The fabric is quick-drying, and water tends to bead up and run right off. We wear ours in light rain, snow, and most everyday weather without issue.
In a real downpour, we've found our underwear still stays dry, even if the pants get wet on the outside. They dry fast once the rain stops to keep you on the trail instead of heading back to the car early!
Will they be too hot for summer hikes?
Honestly, yes, for most folks once it's over 85 degrees and humid. That's our personal limit as Vermonters too. If you're used to hotter weather, you may handle them better.
The upside: They keep bugs off your legs, which is one of our favorite things about wearing them in summer. And our new bright colors make it easier to spot a tick or other nefarious hitchhikers before it becomes a problem!
Can I wear them in cold weather? Will base layers fit underneath?
Yes, they're fantastic for cold weather! The cut of the Brecken Pant leaves room to layer underneath without feeling tight, whether you want a lightweight base layer or something heavier.
We snowshoe, nordic ski, and build snowmen in ours all winter here in Vermont.
About Our Products
Where and how are your products manufactured ?
The Brecken Pant is made in Dongguan, Guangdong, China, with the help of Lefty Production Co. Lefty is a US-based woman owned production company that connects small, ethical brands with skilled manufacturers, and they've been a huge part of bringing Thicket to life.
Our factory has supported us in starting small the right way. They work with us on low minimum orders, which means we don't have to over-produce or sit on stock we won't sell. That keeps us nimble, keeps waste down, and lets us put real care into every batch.
We're a small brand, and we're grateful for the people who make this pant possible alongside us!
